Description

Crunchy. Nutty. Candied. These crunchy candied pecans will be your new go-to snack! Kinda sweet and super nutty, they are perfect to eat as a sweet daytime snack or to serve to your guests with a fruit platter. You can even add them to Jackie O’s Candied Maple Pecan French Toast for an added twist! Makes one cup.


Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. water
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 c. pecans, raw and unsalted
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tspbrown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit on convection bake.

  2. Pour all dry ingredients over the raw pecans in a small mixing bowl.

  3. Beat together the egg white and water in a separate bowl.

  4. Pour over the pecan mixture and blend together using a rubber spatula until all pecans are evenly coated.

  5. Place the candied pecans on a cookie sheet and cook in the oven for approximately 50 minutes, flipping the pecans half way through until evenly browned and crispy.

  6. Transfer to a cooling rack then serve when cooled.
