Zesty Lemon Green Bean Fries

Description

Zesty. Lemony. Savory. These zesty lemon green bean fries will surely be your new favorite dinner side! The acid from the lemon juice combined with the salt and fat from the pancetta will have you craving more bite after bite. Serve with your favorite steak, seafood, or chicken!


Ingredients

  • 3 lb. fresh green beans
  • 1/4 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. Himalayan sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 c. pancetta, chopped
  • 2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Trim the green beans by cutting off the ends and then rinse thoroughly in a cullender.

  2. Transfer the green beans to a paper towel and pat dry.

  3. As the green beans are drying, place a frying pan on the stove and turn the burner on medium low heat.

  4. Place the oil in the pan and let it heat to temperature.

  5. On a cutting board, chop the pancetta into small pieces and place to the side.

  6. Once the oil is to temperature, place the green beans in the pan and add the lemon juice, pepper, paprika, minced garlic, and pancetta to the pan. 

  7. Sauté all ingredients together for approximately 3-5 minutes until the green beans are semi hard.

  8. Once complete, transfer the zesty lemon green bean fries to a serving platter and top with Parmesan cheese and Himalayan sea salt.
