Description
Cheesy. Scrumptious. Savory. Meatballs are meant to melt in your mouth on the first bite. Danny O takes the definition of classic Italian meatballs to the next level! These meatballs have been a staple in our family for years and they never cease to make it into the sauce as soon as they come out of the oven!
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3 Eggs
- 1 c. Italian bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. parsley
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1/3 tsp. salt
- 1/3 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit on convection bake.
- As the oven is preheating, break apart ground beef into a large mixing bowl.
- Crack three eggs into the bowl and add the bread crumbs.
- Add the cheese, garlic, parsley, onion powder, etc.
- Use a fork and begin mixing it together until it becomes like a gritty paste.
- Once it turns into a gritty paste, by hand mix the ingredients together until smooth.
- Pour 1/4 cup of water into the mixture and continue to mix by hand. If you find that the meat mixture is very moist, do not add the rest of the water. If the meat mixture is dry, add the rest of the water and continue to mix by hand until all ingredients are combined.
- Rinse hands with warm water and leave hands wet. Start to ball the classic Italian meatball mixture into 1-1 1/2 inch balls. All meatballs should be consistent in size.
- Place the meatballs into the oven and cook for 20 minutes until golden brown, rotating the meatballs every 7 minutes until the time is expended.
- Remove the meatballs from the pan and transfer to a large bowl lined with paper towels to cool. This will remove any excess grease.
- Place the Danny O’s classic Italian meatballs in a homemade sauce and serve with your favorite pasta!
